National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts Marine Exhibition Highlights: Sea of Reflection, Four Dimensional Projection!
This immersive exhibition at the Taichung Museum of Fine Arts has many highlights, including reflections on the destruction of marine ecosystems, 4-dimensional projections, and immersive experiences.
Scroll down to learn more about the highlights of this Gomez Pavilion marine exhibit:
Gomez Hall Sea Highlight 1: Sea of Reflection
Through "The Sea", the artist wants to express the pollution and imbalance of the marine ecosystem caused by the petrochemical industry and the rapid expansion of the city's waste plastics, thus silently ringing the alarm bell of the marine environmental pollution and warning people that the ocean is releasing a distress signal.
Gomez Hall Highlight 2: Exhibition combining virtual and real integration experience
Virtual Experience:
The virtual experience includes real-time generated dynamic landscapes and sounds, high fidelity dynamic visualizations of the seabed, ocean waves, data streams, and light particles, as well as dynamic graphics transformed from Taiwan's near-sea water quality data.
Real Experience:
Through the installation of marine wastes, paper sculptures, coral shimmering installations and sea sand in the center of the exhibition venue, the real experience invites visitors to have a close-up view, and evokes profound thoughts on marine ecology and environmental conservation.
Gomez Hall Ocean Highlight 3: Immersive experience of four dimensions of the ocean
The "Sea" exhibition at the National Art Museum of China utilizes a variety of technologies, including "algorithmic audiovisual", "neural network-generated dynamic vision", and "readymade object installation" to present four dimensions of the sea, respectively:
- Nature's Sea of Life
- Sea of information on data
- The Sea of Reflection of the Mind
- Imagine the coming of hope.
Through these four dimensions of the sea, the artist hopes to use a narrative technique that integrates the real and the virtual to evoke a close resonance with the natural environment, echoing the thinking and reflection on the "Anthropocene" and "post-digital" in recent years, and projecting into the imagination of the future.
