This year, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMFA), with the theme of "Beyond the Gaze," will explore the feelings and experiences beyond the visual, bringing the audience a unique visual feast. Through each ray of light that passes through time and space, it reveals endless interpretations and imaginations.

National Art Museum Exhibition 2: Convergence and Traceability
In recent years, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMFA) has accidentally acquired a large number of early works of Taiwanese painting and calligraphy under the "Reconstruction of Taiwan Art History" project of the Ministry of Culture's Forward-looking Infrastructure Program.
Therefore, the museum has commissioned experts to conduct in-depth research and present the results in the "Convergence and Traceability: Early Period Paintings and Calligraphy from Taiwan in the National Art Collection" exhibition. Through these works, we hope that visitors will be able to see the artistic landscape of Taiwan over the past three centuries, from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to the Japanese rule era.

National Art Museum Exhibition 4: Ode to the Sun and the Moon: Ngan Shui Lung and Taiwan
"Ode to the Sun and the Moon - Ngan Shui Lung and Taiwan" is the first exhibition in which the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the National Taiwan Craft Research Team have collaborated to showcase the life's work of Ngan Shui Lung, who was the first artist to make a remarkable mark on the development of art, craft, and design in Taiwan.
This exhibition combines the visual styles and cultural symbols developed and refined by Ngan Shui Lung from the local culture, realizing the unique meanings in painting, craftsmanship, weaving, and design, and re-interprets and understands the "World of Ngan Shui Lung" from the perspective of cultural history, aiming at opening up a new interpretation path for the study of Taiwan's art history.

National Art Museum Exhibition 5: Asian Art Biennale 2024
The Asia Art Biennale is dedicated to promoting the development of Asian art and realizing derivative collaborations through co-curatorial efforts by artists from all walks of life.
This year's exhibition will continue the previous team-based curatorial model, and is expected to invite curators from Taiwan, the Philippines, Korea, Armenia, Turkey and other places to collaborate on the exhibition, in the hope of presenting a curatorial and research vision that is closer to that of Asia's future generations.
